IPhone : Add Tab Bar to Existing SplitView

I finally mastered to follow this Tutorial on http://useyourloaf.com/blog/2015/02/16/updating-to-the-ios-8-search-controller.html

But now, I want a TabBar instead of a SplitView.

I tried to embed in TabBars, but it doesen't work.

Does anybody have an Idea how to get this done?
