IPhone : Anchor .btn in bootstrap modal not working on ipad

on Saturday, March 28, 2015

I have a bootstrap .btn on a modal trigger that works fine across all platforms and safari-desktop, but will not click on ipad or iphone it has a transition state applied to it and this shows up on the ipad/iphone when touched but does not continue thru to engage the modal.

<a href="#" class="btn btn-lg hvr-float-shadow" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#m7">More Info <i class="fa fa-arrows-alt"></i> </a>

I have tried looking here but it is an old fix and was wondering if there is a newer work around??

the fix was to remove the ".fade" class from the engaged modal container. I have also referred to this posed query but to no avail.

Any help would be fantastic or finger pointing to another source for help.
