While i know nothing of IOS development (Because i do not see any benefit currently in learning the IOS programing) i would be more interested in programming apples iPhones or iPods to shutdown at certain times, such as automated shutdown tasks for windows computers or digital outlets that cut power to a device when the time limit is reached.
From what research i gathered this seems impossible as the only way to create a secondary means of shutting down the phone or music player would be jailbreaking them and installing the code to do so.
Is this my only option if i wanted to be able to sleep better at night? (Look, I get that simply holding down the power button and sliding a finger is all it takes to turn it off, but I can be addicted to my phone like a gambler is to a casino. We simply don't know when to stop unless someone or "something" was to intervene.)
