In my mind, few questions are rising regarding xcassets in iOS, frameworks, libraries and more than one story board/xib interaface files. I was searching on app sizes in assets catalog xcassets in iOS that a-lot of images would increase app size? Is there is a need of include every possible image in image catalog? What type of images are need to be placed in how many sizes? That's so confusing me if I think in an ideal case.
For example, I have a custom image of UITABLEVIEW cell row, UIBUTTON image, UIBARBUTTON image, Tab bar icons, ViewController Background and LaunchImages (as variety of images are available) Here is the summary of my Questions (I want to build a Universal app):
-- What sort of images are needed to be @1x, @2x, @3x of iphone and @1x, @2x of ipad?? Is there is any relaxation depending upon type of image? If I put every possible size, will this increase my app size? For example, Launch Images.
-- xcassets have universal type and device type categories, If I want to add a simple image, that would be enough for both iphone and ipad, then what is the good practice there.?
-- Multiple storyboards may affect the app size or performance??
-- If I use any open source network library for requesting and fetching json data, will it affect on the app size?? Or in binary, xcode only complies the related stuff ??
-- What sort of images are required in BITMAP format and what are of PDF format in xcassets and what is the difference between them?
-- Seprate Xib's for custom UITABLE cell affect the app size, because they can be fulfil the goal in UITABLEVIEW custom cell
-- If I want to make View Contoller background image, Which sizes are needed for a universal app (in respect of @1x,@2x,@3x of Iphone and @1x, @2x of Ipad)
P.S.: I just want to know the good practices are.
